Agamemnon is no server hosting dedicated, but the Greek mythological son of King Atreus of Mycenae and Queen Aerope. Agamemnon’s brother was Menelaus, and his children were Orestes and Electra, and his wife was Clytemnestra. When Menelaus’ wife was abducted by Paris of Troy, it fell to Agamemnon to command the Greek forces in the subsequent Trojan war. Whilst away in Troy, Agamemnon’s wife had an affair with Aegisthus who murdered him upon his return from the battle.

The Odyssey contains the oldest version of this story: “The scene of the murder, when it is specified, is usually the house of Aegisthus, who has not taken up residence in Agamemnon's palace, and it involves an ambush and the deaths of Agamemnon's followers too”. The story alters depending on who is telling it. In other versions Clytemnestra does the murdering whilst in other versions, they pair do it together such as in Aeschylus’ ‘Agamemnon’. Poor Agamemnon! After a long, hard battle in Troy, he returns home to not only find out his wife has been cheating on him, but ends up murdered! No wonder Electra killed her own mother! Clytemnestra sounds like a horrible piece of work!
