It is my girlfriends birthday next week and last weekend I tried to go out and buy her a present and I just don’t know where to start!

I just kept getting distracted with some of the new PS3 games. LA Noire, F.E.A.R. 3 and Transformer: Dark of the Moon!
They are all so much more exciting than shopping for women’s summer dresses and sandals and all things girly!

I have to admit I ended up buying LA Noire on PS3 rather than a present as I just couldn’t find anything! So I spent that evening playing the game and clearing my head to think of something to buy her.

And now I am off shopping tomorrow evening to buy what I have thought would make a wonderful present! But just don’t ask me what that is!

Well it has taken a while – or at least it certainly feels like it to all of us nerdy game heads – but the latest addition to the Halo franchise is finally here. I realise that this has been out for a good while now but I personally have only just discovered it – so maybe you haven’t seen it yet either. But.... the entire Sonic the Hedgehog series has been made available on the PS2 and PS3 and to me this is the greatest thing to ever happen in the history of the consoles. Sonic was a staple of my youth and the greatest game other than maybe Streets of Rage to be released on the famed Sega Megadrive and now I get to have all of them on one brilliant single ...
